Cinema—The New Cathedral of Hollyworld
How films are replacing religion in our cinematic age.
Brad, it was good to see you in Tulsa. I liked this article. A good bit of my own blogging is in the context of movies and music. I've said for a long time that movies are the parables of our time. The Passion taught us a lot about how to reach people. It's good that you (or we) point people to finding God in the arts. It's the language of the spirit of people. I dont consider myself cultured or refined, but I can see greatness in Johnny Cash and Norah Jones; Lord of the Rings and Toy Story. So thanks for pointing people that way.
great blog man. hollywood has gotten good at asking questions. it also REALLY does a great job engaging a very visual generation. how can we leverage this?
