I know this may step on a few toes, but I have to let it out. I am extremely saddened by American churches who are spending millions of dollars on the wrong things. I recently read about a church that spent $19 million to expand their poperty and enlarge their buildings. How can this happen when.....
I just don't get it. How could something that started so good have gone so wrong? Please tell me that people are still more important than property and that big buildings will not be the greatest legacy of the church. Please.
Thank you for your plea and I will amen it!!
I do not understand how Christ followers can turn their backs on these tragedies and ignore or pretend they don't exist!
Keep stompin' on those toes!
very interesting
Hi Brad, thank you for your thoughts. I agree!
I spoke with my sis-in-law the other day, and in case you didn't already know, your's and Shannon's encouragement have meant so much to her. Thanks for throwing y'alls love on her. I'm praying for her, hubbie, and those sweet kiddoes.
Miss you guys!!
Sure, I guess you're right, but with a big enough building campaign we can build a church so great, we won't have to wait to go to heaven, and we can even pick the order of worship to be songs only we like. I guess we could buy food, medicine and help reset economic practices that restore hope, but big buildings are cool too . . .
Good post, and very relevant. You might want to change the part about 1.3 billion being a majority to minority. God bless and Merry Christmas.
Brad man... where are you these days?

Hmm.....
Seems like we all spend needed money on thing we don't need. Like ballet tickets and going to concerts. Who are we to judge!
i think that to go see a concert is a great way to re-create and spend time with friends.. u2? i think that to do it 2 times might place you on the bonus of good fortune... u2? i think that to go 3 times might be over the top... u2? i think to overtly seek to stomp toes about materialism and not caring about others under the praise of your own self indulgence is simply hypocritical... u2?
Wow, this anonymous poster sounds a lot like my wife. Thanks for keeping me humble and grouned. That's really the problem with idealist, we can never live up to our own ideals. Peace.
