You speak of signs and wonders
But I need something other
I would believe if I was able
But I’m waiting on the crumbs from your table
-from the U2 song “Crumbs From Your Table”

I think too often Christians can be criticized for being closed-minded, judgmental and for withholding the gifts given to us by God. We live in a world filled with people who long to believe in something, even God, yet run the other direction because the only God-followers they know are rude, snobby and hypocritical. This week our church did something good. We helped give someone a new house. We helped bring back hope to a family who has faced plenty of disappointment and despair. I think we may have even helped to restore a little bit of good news and publicity for living in the way of Jesus. It was good. It was very good. So, let’s do more. Let’s start a revolution. Let’s make it a way of life. Let’s get off the “God bless me” joy bus and get on the “God’s helped me so that I can help others” bandwagon. Let’s strive everyday to live out the old gospel tune,”…and they’ll know we are Christians by our love, by our love…” I think many people are waiting to see if the believers are willing to live out the values of the one in which they believe. We can do this. We need to do this. Because so many people in our world still haven’t found what they’re looking for.

Brad- Great Stuff- I love the "let's bless others part." We seem to fall in equally bad camps.
Camp #1 God doesn't bless people any more. or

Camp #2 Being a Child of God is about His Blessings for Me... Oh God Bless me...

I would opt for Camp#3... Oh God, Your blessings blow my mind... every blessing you pour out I'll turn back to praise.(great song)... by giving You glory and giving away...

Camp #3 sounds like a great place to "camp out." I think this is where Abraham (the patriarch of three major religions) set up camp as well.
